this reminds me of the whole 'old school' methods of photography and film making; back when a scene was set pre-production (i.e before the days of photoshop). In particular, it reminds me of the long lengths they went to set up that image that's now used for the excorcist (the window if you dont know the image). As you might've figured, I have a fondness for that sorta thing; the nuts and bolts as it were.
Appreciated, well spotted. It is actually performed in the traditional method. Stepping away from digital rendering wasn't without forgetting that simply lighting a window evenly isn't the smallest of task; as with Portrait preparation is time consuming, waiting for conditions rather than replicating. It does begin to expand the appreciation of the more 'undeveloped' or traditional photographer...
